Rising Death Toll and Tensions in Haryana’s Nooh Clash: Updates and Measures Taken

Chandigarh: The death toll in Haryana’s Nooh clash has risen to five. In view of the possibility of conflict, the curfew imposed in Nuh district and the ban on internet services will continue today. In the wake of the tensions in Haryana, vigilance continues in Delhi as well.

More than 70 people, including police officers, were injured in the violence. Even as the police continue to try to restore law and order, isolated clashes are recurring in various parts of the state. The district administration has ordered not to supply petrol in bottles from the petrol pumps in Gurgaon Badshapur and Sector Seventy yesterday in view of the mob setting fire to the shops. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the law and order situation in the state is secure. Peace meetings are being held in Sohna and Nooh districts under the leadership of the government.

Haryana Police has registered around 40 cases against more than 80 people in the clashes. Delhi Police has announced that it has intensified patrolling in the national capital in the wake of tensions in the neighboring state.
