“The number of dengue fever in Paser Regency this month was recorded at 13 cases,” said Head of Disease Control and Eradication at the Paser Health Office, Ainun Jariyah, to Paser Pos, Wednesday (20/12).
Ainun explained that dengue fever cases usually experience a significant increase in the rainy season.
“Because the rainy season has entered the possibility of dengue fever cases in Paser continuing to increase until March 2024,” he said.
To reduce the dengue fever rate, said Ainun, his party is coordinating with the sub-district to invite the community to carry out a clean living movement and implement the 3 M plus movement, namely draining water reservoirs, closing water reservoirs, burying used goods and plus avoiding mosquito bites, sleeping using mosquito nets and mosquito coils.

“I hope that the 3 M Plus Movement can be disseminated to villages, as was done in Tanah Grogot District by cleaning ditches up to RT areas,” he explained.
He emphasized that currently the community health center has implemented the distribution of abates as an effort to prevent an increase in dengue cases.
“In November there were 2 cases of dengue fever that caused death in children and yesterday fogging was carried out as well as the distribution of abates in all areas in coordination with the local health center,” said Ainun.
He hopes that after the abate is distributed, dengue fever cases will decrease and fogging can be carried out after there is an increase in cases in one area.
“So fogging was implemented after there was a high increase in cases, such as in Muara Komam District,” he said.
