Rising Cases of Dengue Fever in Probolinggo Regency – Highest in Indonesia by 2023

PROBOLINGGO, iNewsProbolinggo.id – Cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DBD) in Probolinggo Regency will increase throughout 2023. Until they become the highest cases in Indonesia. Therefore, the district government continues to make preventive efforts.

It is known, from the data that has been collected, until the beginning of October 2023, there were 596 cases of dengue fever with the number of deaths reaching 18 patients. Meanwhile, last year there were 295 cases with 13 patients dying.

There are four health centers that contribute the most deaths, including; Gending Community Health Center with 4 cases, Kraksaan Community Health Center with 3 cases and Paiton Community Health Center and Krejengan Community Health Center with 2 cases.

Acting Regent of Probolinggo Ugas Irwanto said, apart from carrying out fogging. His party will make a circular addressed to all sub-district heads, heads of health centers, village heads and all parties so that every Friday a Friday movement to eradicate mosquito nests will be held.

According to him, there are several places that have the potential to become mosquito nests. So it is necessary to carry out eradication efforts, one of which is by cleaning the places in question.
