The fourth and final season of Sex Education has been available on Netflix since last week. After 32 episodes we say goodbye to Otis, Maeve, Aimee and Eric. But not from the actors who play them, because they are appearing more and more often.
Emma Mackey (Maeve)
Emma Mackey, die in Sex Education gave shape to Maeve, is gaining momentum in her film career. For example, she had a supporting role in a blockbuster Barbiewhich also includes her Sex Educationcolleagues Ncuti Gatwa and Connor Swindells.

Asa Butterfield (Otis)
Asa Butterfield already had a rich film career before Sex Education. In it he played Otis, the boy who presents himself as a sex therapist for his classmates. The actor made his breakthrough at the age of ten with the leading role in The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas. He became a sought-after child actor and took the title role in the Martin Scorsese film Hugo.
In his teenage years he appeared in science fiction films, among other things Ender’s Game a Tim Burton movie Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. Not everything the 26-year-old actor touched became a success. Attempts in the horror genre such as Slaughterhouse Rulez in All Fun and Games generated painful reviews.
Butterfield can be admired again around Christmas. The actor was already seen in last year Your Christmas or Mine and a second part will follow this year.
Little Friend (Eric)
For fans of Sex Education it may be difficult to separate actor Ncuti Gatwa from his role as the flamboyant Eric, Otis’s best friend. But the actor has much more to offer. In addition to his supporting role in Barbie, he also appeared in the drama film The Last Letter from Your Lover. In this he acted together with, among others, Shailene Woodley, Felicity Jones and Joe Alwyn.
Big things are about to happen in Gatwa’s career. At the end of this year, he will be the fifteenth actor to take on the role of Doctor Who. He succeeds David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker, among others, in the science fiction series that has existed for sixty years.

Aimee Lou Wood (Aimee)
Aimee Lou Wood made her definitive breakthrough with her role as her somewhat naive, but endearing character of the same name. She has since starred in the film alongside actor Bill Nighy Living. In the near future she will mainly be seen on television. She starred in the British drama series alongside Andrea Riseborough Alice & Jack. She also landed a role in Toxic Town. This series tells the true story of three mothers who fight against the toxic waste dumped in their village.
Connor Swindells (Adam)
Connor Swindells played in Sex Education the stiff Adam who does not feel at home at school. He has played a wide range of other characters in recent years. He appeared alongside Anya Taylor-Joy in costume drama Emma, and played a role in the crime series Vigil. The actor received praise for his leading role in the war series SAS Rogue Heroeswhich is set in 1941 Cairo. A second season is scheduled to be released next year.
