London – Departmental Minister Gavin Williamson resigned after being accused of insulting colleagues and threatening staff. Williamson’s resignation became the first cabinet crisis of Rishi Sunak in Britain in just a few weeks. The Prime Minister, who accepted his resignation, will give Parliament an explanation today.
This is not the first time complaints have been filed against Gavin Williamson’s abusive behavior towards staff and fellow parliamentarians. Similar complaints have been raised against him previously. He has been accused many times of being rude to his fellow parliamentarians and colleagues. Meanwhile, the revelations of a senior civil service official also came out yesterday.
It was alleged that Williamson had yelled at him that he would “slit his throat” while he was defense minister. With that, things got out of hand. Since the Prime Minister did not come forward to justify such action, Williamson had no choice but to resign.
This is the third time Gavin Williamson has come out of the toilet. Senior Leader Gavin Williamson is a former defense minister in Theresa May’s cabinet and education minister in Boris’s cabinet.
He was fired by the Prime Minister on charges related to the leaking of documents during his tenure as Minister of Defense. The reason for Boris’ exit from the cabinet was due to irregularities in the conduct of level A exams during the era of Covid. Williamson resigned from the Prime Minister, reiterating that he would prove his innocence to him in the allegations.
