Rise in Resignations: French Workers Consider Quitting their Jobs at Unprecedented Rates

Quit your job or company? Two-thirds of French workers think about it, according to a study carried out last January for the Meteojob site. But now more and more of them are taking action. In the first quarter of 2023, 550,000 resignations were recorded, according to the latest figures from the Dares (Direction of the animation of research, studies and statistics), the statistical service of the Ministry of Labor. A figure 24% higher than in 2019, before the health crisis. And rarely achieved. We have to go back to early 2008 to find comparable levels.
