The Ripley Museum has championed Kim Kardashian after the star was accused of damaging the iconic dress of Marilyn Monroe that he wore in the most recent edition of the WITH Gala.

After a fanatical Marilyn Monroe collector this week criticized the company that owns the famous $4.8 million dollars for letting the businesswoman use it at the New York Metropolitan Museum gala, stating that “irreparably damaged it“, the Ripley Museum has come to the defense of the founder of SKIMS to say that it was returned in exactly the same condition.

A company representative told TMZ: “A report written on the state of the dress in early 2017 states that ‘several of the seams are pulled and worn’. This is not surprising given how delicate the material is. There are wrinkles on the back from the hooks and the eyes’, among other cases of damage”.

They also claim that since the company purchased the dress, it has been on display in locations around the world, so it could have been damaged at any time.

Amanda JoinerVice President of Publishing and Licensing at Ripley, was with Kim and the dress throughout the day of the Met Gala and added: “From the bottom of the steps of the Met, where Kim got into the dress, all the way to the top, where it was returned, the dress was in the same condition in which it started“.

After the first accusations against her surfaced, Kim Kardashian told DailyMail.com that the images “they were not exact” and that the statements were “completely false“.

To support the accusations against Kim, Scott Fortnera collector who runs a website dedicated solely to the movie star, posted a series of photos of the beige, crystal-embellished gown Monroe wore when she sang “Happy Birthday Mr President” to John F. Kennedy in 1962.

The post featured a before and after in which several pieces of jewelry appeared to be missing and showed small tears in the fabric at the back closure. The alleged damage to the piece, which Ripley bought at auction, has drawn widespread criticism on social media in recent days.
