A number of protesters at Dublin, Irelandclashed with police officers during a demonstration protesting the stabbing incident of three small children at school on Thursday (23/11).

Reported AFPriot police stood guard on a number of streets in the Irish capital as demonstrators began burning vehicles and looting shops in Dublin.

They taunted the authorities and set off fireworks.

Near O’Connell Bridge, over the River Liffey, flames rose from burning police cars and buses. People looted goods on one of the streets in the shopping center area.

The worst riots in Dublin in recent years occurred after a number of students were stabbed in Parnell Square East.

A five-year-old girl suffered serious injuries due to the incident. Two other children and a woman named Siobhan Kearney were taken to hospital after the incident.

Kearney was injured trying to save the children. The man who stabbed him was also injured and taken to hospital.

According to police chief Drew Harris, residents protested over this incident because of “misinformation” circulating widely regarding the nationality of the perpetrator. So far the police have not stated the nationality of the perpetrator. But he is an immigrant.

One of the protesters even shouted “The Irish people are being attacked by this rubbish.”

Harris said the riots were caused by “very deranged factions driven by right-wing ideology.”

Ireland is currently facing an occupation crisis. The government estimates that there is a reduction of hundreds of thousands in housing for the general population.

This condition also makes the citizens of that country take it out on asylum seekers and refugees. Far-right figures often promote anti-immigrant sentiment at demonstrations and on social media that “Ireland is full.”
