Riotinto signs up this Thursday to donate blood in the old Directorate Building

For all those people between 18 and 65 years old weighing more than 50 kilos

The Huelva Transfusion, Tissue and Cell Center has organized a new blood collection in Minas de Riotinto for the day this Thursday, July 1.

This blood donation will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the old Directorate Building, where all the neighbors who want to take part with this beautiful and necessary initiative will be able to attend.

As pointed out by the organizing entity, the requirements to donate are to be between 18 and 65 years old and weighing 50 kilograms or more and not suffering from anemia or other risk conditions that facilitate the spread of diseases, such as hepatitis, syphilis or AIDS.

The blood groups most in demand are positive A and positive 0, although negative 0 is also of great importance due to immunological characteristics.

The collections are part of the daily extraction schedule carried out in the province of Huelva to increase the number of donors and guarantee the supply of blood components to the Huelva hospitals.

From the Huelva Transfusion, Tissue and Cell Center emphasize that blood donation “does not pose any risk to health” and is “a highly necessary good for health activity”, to the point that “it is estimated that hospitals in the province of Huelva need a minimum of 80 daily bags of blood to assist patients ”, they explain.

The requirements to donate are be between 18 and 65 years old and a weight equal to or greater than 50 kilograms and not suffer from anemia or other risk factors that facilitate the spread of diseases, such as hepatitis, syphilis or AIDS. The blood groups most in demand are positive A and positive O, although negative O is also of great importance due to immunological characteristics.

“The donated blood improves and saves the lives of hundreds of Huelva residents who have suffered an accident, need a transplant or are fighting cancer,” remarked from the Center for Transfusion, Tissues and Cells of Huelva, which encourages all the people to participate in these collections.
