The events transform and unfold throughout the month, as each act of the series is revealed, along with activations in all Riot games. The “RiotX Arcane” event started on Monday, and this weekend fans are expected at the final of the World League of Legends Championship and the premiere of the Arcane series.
In October, more than 180 million active users played games in the League of Legends universe (League of Legends, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics and Fight for the Golden Spatula, in China), marking a figure -record for the company.
The RiotX Arcane event will begin with the finals of the World League of Legends Championship, a competition where it has already become a tradition for some of Riot’s most popular music and entertainment experiences to make their debut.
The opening ceremony of this year’s World Championship brings together gaming, competitive spirit and entertainment with a live concert on stage by the Grammy-winning band Imagine Dragons, along with PVRIS, Bea Miller, JID and Denzel Curry. Musicians will take players and fans on an Arcane-themed journey through Piltover and Zaun, the two cities where the action takes place in the series. Launch of the Arcane series
On November 7, at 2:30, RiotX Arcane debuts for the first time, broadcast on Twitch (on the Riot Games channel and on the dedicated streamer channels) and on Arcane.com. At Riot’s Los Angeles headquarters, the event will feature a virtual red carpet giving the media and content creators around the world the opportunity to connect with their communities. Arcane is the first Netflix series to be co-streamed exclusively on Twitch, with content creators on this platform having the opportunity to stream from their accounts and react live to the first episode.
