Riot Games has been pretty secretive about how the Arcane animated series ties into the larger League of Legends world. Fortunately, this has finally been confirmed in a statement from one of Riot’s own.
In a statement to X, League of Legends executive producer Riot Brightmoon said: “Arcane and League are part of the same Runeterra canon. Everything is not quite aligned and we will address this eventually”.
Riot is currently working on a second season of Arcane, so this undoubtedly means that in subsequent episodes there will be a better degree of continuity between the series and the game’s story. Likewise, further steps will undoubtedly be taken in game development to create a more coherent narrative.
