In order to present the different lines of financing, the Undersecretary of Fruit Growing Pablo de Azevedo held a meeting in Río Colorado with producers from the sector.
In this context, De Azevedo highlighted the importance of the meeting and visited two fruit producers to learn about their projects and the Producers Cooperative where different topics were specified.
“The key to these meetings is to count the financing lines carried out by the Ministry of Production and Agroindustry and communicate the policies that are carried out accompanying the sector, in addition to listening and always learning from the producers who are the ones who are in the day to day day ”, explained the Undersecretary.
And he added: “We have six lines that are divided into two groups: three for large structures that have to do with defense against frost, reconversion and diversification and anti-hail mesh, and another group for small agricultural implements, aluminum ladders and fertilization, the that are in force today ”.
Likewise, he announced that in the coming months the financing lines for the purchase of machinery and the PAR Agroinsumos will be made available to producers again, “the province is making an enormous effort with financing at subsidized rates with long terms and for all productive sectors ”He stressed.
For his part, the Secretary of Economic Development of Río Colorado Horacio Prieto said: “We have always worked very closely with both the producers and the ministry, but the pandemic changed that dynamic for us. The ways of communicating have changed and now little by little and with all the care we meet face to face again to analyze, thinking about the new season, what the specific needs of the sector are ”.
Visit to producers
On this occasion, two producers who are managing the financing line for irrigation against frost were visited. Pedro, who together with his father are producers of peaches and apples and with this financing they will be able to complete almost 100% of their production with this protection.
Then they toured the farm of Oscar and Adela, producers of pears, apples, peaches and plums, who with more than 70 years of age continue to bet on production and continue to invest in our Province.
In addition to showing us the frost protection project, they told us about their experience with the “First Ladder” program and all the benefits they noticed with this incorporation, both in terms of performance and comfort for the workers.
He was also in the Producers Cooperative, where he toured the facilities and with whom he advanced in the work possibilities that the cooperative has.
