Ringo Starr tells a great story involving Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones and John Bonham of Led Zeppelin

The ex-Beatles drummer once had an unusual time with the Rolling Stones drummer in his attic.

Ringo Starr opens up about Charlie Watts’ death at press conference for new EP Change the World and recalled an unusual anecdote that arose between himself, Charlie and the late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham in the 1970s.

“I had a battery in my attic,” he said.

“It was an attic for watching movies or making music, whatever you wanted. Charlie came and so did John Bonham. We were just three drummers hanging out together. Bonham took to the drums. But it wasn’t like when you’re on stage and the drums are all set, and while he was playing, the drums would snap. And now I’m like “Oh man! If only we could have done a little video, a TikTok or a photo, it would have been around the world!” In the 1970s I used to have parties but you will never find any pictures because I would not have let you take any in my house. But I think it would have been nice to capture that moment. ”
