Thirteen people were shot and wounded after a riverbank fight broke out in the city of Peoria, in central Illinois, police said Sunday.
Neither wound is considered life-threatening, police spokeswoman Amy Dotson told the Peoria Journal Star.
Officers who responded to a report on shot people found a gathering of about 200 people in the area. Two people were seriously injured and transferred to a hospital. Another 11 arrived separately at local hospitals; six were men and seven women, authorities said.
Investigators don’t know what caused the fight and have no suspects, said Dotson, who noted they are investigating.
