The Heppenheim police specifically focused on motorbikes during traffic checks on Sunday afternoon (March 13). Six out of a total of 50 drivers also had to pay small fines because they had exceeded the permitted speed limit. Two motorcyclists disregarded the Sunday driving ban on state road 3409 near Rimbach-Zotzenbach. Appropriate fines were imposed. In the case of three other checks, in the Fürth-Krumbach area, the checks had more far-reaching consequences. The machines were way too loud. Officials suspected that the exhaust systems had been modified. The measurements exceeded the permitted dB values ​​by 12, 16 and 26 dB. The drivers face hefty fines as well as the costs for towing and the expert. The traffic controls also had a positive effect. The residents in the villages thanked the officials. In the Krumbach area in particular, noise pollution from motorcycles has increased in recent years.
