Rijswijk easily wins from HDS

The hockey players of the Rijswijksche Hockeyclub (RHC) have won quite easily in a home match against HDS: 6-0. The Rijswijkers remain at the top of the First Class.

It was a regular victory for the Rijswijkers. Niels Blaak and Jasper Siebert each shot sharply at a penalty corner. It resulted in a 2-0 lead for the Rijswijkers at half-time. After the break, the team of coach Dirk Wils provided even more fireworks. Niels Blaak and Jasper Siebert (penalty corner), as well as Thomas de Haan and Luc van Elk (penalty corner) ensured a 6-0 victory.

Coach Dirk Wils: “We outplayed the opponent. The boys played maturely. We are now looking forward to the match on Thursday in the Gold Cup against HGC.”

Next Thursday, the Rijswijk hockey players will play against former powerhouse HGC in the second round. Next Sunday, the away match against league leaders Breda is on the agenda.
