A video of the guitarist and musician Rihards Lībietis’ composition “Miniature on Presence” has been released, which is the third single from the musician’s new album “Lines and Miniatures” released at the end of October.
“Miniature of Presence” is a reflection on melancholy, the search for inspiration, whether real loneliness is possible at all, and finding strength in oneself. “This is one of my favorite works on the new album – it is relatively simple in composition and instrumentation, but at the same time very fragile, emotional and sensitive composition. It is also an existential reflection that someone is close to each of us, even if we may not be aware of it. I really hope that this composition will give the listeners warmth, strength and self-confidence, ”Rihards Lībietis, the author and performer of the composition.
The video of the composition was filmed at the end of autumn in the forests of Lilaste near three lakes. Its author and cinematographer is Jānis Romanovskis: An opportunity both to listen and this time to look into the artist’s soul a little through the music and a little through the eyes. ”
“Miniature on Presence” is an instrumental piece for a baritone guitar. The single was recorded in the studio “No Fuss Audio” in Tukums, its sound director and mixer is Valērijs Černejs. This composition is also performed in the performance “River” (2020) by the director and choreographer Kristīne Brīniņa, which is included in the repertoire of the Liepāja Theater and was nominated for the “Players’ Night 2020/2021” award.
