Dyears the night of Sunday to Monday February 13 was held in Glendale (Arizona), the 57e edition of the Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. A meeting that will figure prominently in the legend of the NFL. Each year, the final of the American football championship is the most anticipated sporting event across the Atlantic. This time again, the match won by the Kansas City team kept more than 60,000 spectators in attendance (who paid a minimum of 3,000 euros to watch the game) and more than 100 million television viewers across the globe.
A formidable cash machine where commercial interest and publicity – at the expense of sport – reign as masters of ceremonies with a prize of 7 million dollars (6.50 million euros) for a thirty-second spot broadcast on the Fox channel. But the Super Bowl is also and above all the time when the stars show themselves and when celebrities are invited to perform in front of the public, like last year, Jay-Z, Eminem, Snoop Dog , Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.

A river of diamonds on the wrist
This year, it is the Barbadian singer Rihanna – whose rounded belly announces a second pregnancy – who was the most anticipated attraction for this Super Bowl LVII. Absent from radar screens since the release seven years ago of her last album, Anti, the 34-year-old star, the youngest billionaire woman without having inherited, provided a fifteen-minute solo performance during half-time. The artist chained fourteen of his most famous hits like Umbrella, We Found Love or Work, before ending in apotheosis and under a rain of fireworks by Diamonds.
On stage, the queen of pop treated her entry, appearing in levitation on a platform suspended above the gigantic field where the final was played. Dressed in a gleaming jumpsuit and a matching red coat, Rihanna moved among several hundred dancers, all dressed in full white jumpsuits, some on raised platforms, others on the lawn. By performing a few choreographic movements, she unveiled many jewels accompanying her outfit. Alongside an assortment of jewelry pieces from Messika, Rihanna also wore a mysterious watch adorned with a diamond bezel and displaying a bright red dial, a color that also adorned the alligator strap.

According to some seasoned observers, who quickly ousted the brands Piaget, Chopard or Van Cleef & Arpels from their list, Rihanna’s watch happened to be a piece signed Jacob & Co. More precisely, it was the model Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights Stainless Steel Red. A 44 mm skeletonized piece in steel with a case adorned with more than 250 diamonds just like the crown, set with 30 white diamonds and whose dial has been shaped in red mineral crystal. The price ? This creation combining fine jewelry with luxury watchmaking, limited to 101 pieces, is offered at a price of 72,000 dollars, or nearly 68,000 euros, by Jacob & Co.
