The duplex penthouse spans the upper two levels of 129 Lafayette Street, which borders the Soho and Nolita neighborhoods.

The building itself was originally built in 1911 as a light manufacturing facility. Almost a century later, in 2004, it was transformed into a luxury residential complex.

In the home’s 7,000 square feet, there are four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half bathroom. An added bonus is a 2,400-square-foot wraparound rooftop terrace: aka your own private outdoor oasis with 360-degree views of Manhattan.

Inside you’ll find all the hallmarks of a light and airy pre-war apartment. Details include oversized windows, custom concrete floors, and 13-foot ceilings throughout.

A keyed elevator takes you directly to the top floor and opens you to the spacious living room which has been fitted with a wood burning fireplace.

The living room flows directly into the ultra-modern chef’s kitchen, adorned with Val Cucine cabinets and top-of-the-line appliances. From here you will have direct access to that sick roof.

The expansive master suite truly steals the show with sweeping views of the Empire State Building and beyond. This space also comes with its own bathroom, walk-in closet, and huge walk-in closet, which is good news if your wardrobe collection is anything like the singer’s icon-turned-style.

Dana Power and Max Nehrig of the Corcoran Group are holding the price on this penthouse that once housed superstar Rihanna.
