Is Rihanna finally going to release her ninth studio album?

According to the tabloid The Sunthe release is reportedly imminent. According to an “industry insider,” the 36-year-old singer is finally ready to share new music, after recording and throwing away an entire album.
“We’ve always joked about how long it’s taken Rihanna to release her ninth album, but ultimately the wait is almost over,” the insider said. “Because she wants it to sound fresh, and because Rihanna is at this point in her life, pretty much everything has been scrapped.”
The source added that Rihanna experimented with a number of different genres before deciding that nothing she did was good enough. “She went from pop to reggae to hip hop and everything in between,” the source told the outlet.
Rihanna’s latest album, Antiwas released in 2016. The singer has since started a family with her partner, A$AP Rocky, 35, giving birth to their son, RZA, in May 2022. He is followed by a sister, Riot Rose, born in August 2023.
An entrepreneur, Rihanna has also worked to increase her net worth to over $1.4 billion through the success of her Fenty cosmetics and Savage X Fenty lingerie.
