Rihanna, 33, has dropped the lawsuit she filed against her father two years ago. They would now have reached a settlement out of court.

The singer had sued her father Ronald Fenty (67) because he allegedly abused her name for his own gain. The man had set up an entertainment company and arranged (fake) bookings without her permission. Rihanna herself said she had nothing to do with her father’s company. In 2019, she sued him for false advertising and invasion of privacy.
Court documents state that “Mr. Fenty and Mr. Perkins (Ronal Fenty’s business partner, ed.) to obtain millions of dollars from third parties under the false promise that they were speaking on behalf of Rihanna.”
The case was normally supposed to be on September 22, but Rihanna withdrew the case on Tuesday. No reason was given, but according to US media, the case was resolved outside the courtroom.
