Election forecasts: the right-wing coalition seems destined to win the elections in Italy

The right-wing coalition with Giorgia Meloni seems destined to win the Italian elections with a percentage between 41 and 45 percent, according to the polls.

Right-wing populist Meloni, leader of the Brothers of Italy party, therefore seems destined to become the country’s next prime minister.

The far-right coalition is also made up of the Ligaen and Fremad Italia parties.

The Italian brothers have between 22 and 26 percent of the vote at 11pm, and thus appear to be the largest party in this year’s elections, according to the news agency. Handle.

Meloni can thus become the first woman Prime Minister in Italy, but also the first Italian head of state of the extreme right since the dictator Benito Mussolini ruled the country from 1922 to 1943.

Meloni has allied himself with the far-right Northern League party and party leader Matteo Salvini, who, like Meloni, wants to crack down on illegal immigration. He also collaborated with the party of former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, Forza Italia.

Polls show voter turnout dropped by seven percent.

The polling stations closed at 11pm on Sunday evening.
