RIGHT NOW: HV71’s signing bomb – Fredrik Stillman returns to the club: “Means a lot”

Recently it became clear that it will be Tommy Samuelsson who will try to take HV back to the fine room and SHL – and now the management staff is further strengthened.

Fredrik Stillman reaped great success in HV71 as a player, coach and sports director and has been number 14 retired after his job in the association.

In 2015, Stillman worked as an assistant coach at the club but left Husqvarna Garden for a job in the KHL. In Russia, Stillman has worked for four different clubs before the 54-year-old left for the Swiss big club ZSC Lions – but now one of HV71’s foremost through the ages is moving back to Sweden.

On Sunday, the club announced that Stillman will be the new assistant coach.

– It feels incredibly inspiring and I feel proud to be back in the mother club that is close to my heart. Now the association has a big challenge ahead of it and it is important to take it and see it as an opportunity. I also look forward to working with Tommy Samuelsson as a genuine hockey coach and with whom I already know a good chemistry, says Fredrik Stillman to the club.

HV71’s sports director Johan Hult about the recruitment:

– We are very happy that Fredrik returns home and is with us on the journey back to the SHL. He is an HV71 member of the soul who will form a very competent coaching duo together with Tommy Samuelsson, says Johan Hult, sports manager in HV71.

The contract is written for 2 + 1 years.
