Important points were at stake when Örebro SK hosted Degerfors IF at Behrn Arena on Monday night. Nästjumbon was looking for a victory to keep the hope of the Allsvenskan game 2022 alive. Before the match, the distance was nine points up to Degerfors in the negative qualifying place.
– We have to win today. The train goes otherwise, Örebro player Nordin Gerzic told Discovery + before the match against Degerfors, who in turn was looking for points to get past Halmstad and up on safe ground again.
New ÖSK coach Marcus Lantz once again chose to pattern a back line, while stars Jiloan Hamad and Nahir Besara started in central midfield. Degerfors came into the game with Victor Edvardsen and Nikola Djurdjic who both missed the last match against Halmstad.
The match was just over five minutes old before Örebro was forced to change, this when Martin Broberg left the field with a wrapped knee. The forward was replaced by David Victory.
