RIGHT NOW: After the nightmare start – John Guidetti equalizes for AIK

AIK defeated Vorskla Poltava in the second qualifying round while FK Shkendija defeated Valmiera from Latvia.

AIK had a day off from the Allsvenskan last weekend and when the starting eleven were released it was clear that they are giving the same eleven a chance against Shkendija who fixed the promotion against Vorskla.

Shkendija took the lead after less than a minute played after a sloppy play from AIK. Axel Björnström’s pass went to Shkendija’s Ferhan Hasasni who managed his clearance by rolling the ball into the goal, controlled.

AIK created their first scoring chance after barely a quarter of an hour when Joe Mendes got past along the right wing and with a long cross the ball reached Erick Otieno who, however, failed to hit the target with his attempt.

After 17 minutes, however, it was tied. Sebastian Larsson poked the forehead of John Guidetti, who steered the equalizer into the goalkeeper’s far corner.

– I think we are clearly better than them, they leave me alone, their defense. It feels like I win every single duel, John Guidetti told Sportbladet after 45 minutes played.

Startelvor:

AIK: Nordfeldt – Mendes, Collins, Papagiannopoulos, Björnström, Otieno – Ayari, Larsson, Hussein – Guidetti, Stefanelli.

FK Shkendija: Zahov – Neziri, Bejtulai, Cake – Murat, Dita, Ramadani, Shala – Hasani, Doriev – Guri.
