AOn the morning of July 9, police vehicles rolled into Rigaer Strasse in the Friedrichshain district of Berlin. Their goal: house number 94, a residential project partially occupied by left-wing radicals. A “starting point and place of retreat from or after militant actions”, as the Berlin Office for the Protection of the Constitution clearly states.
The officers who came now had search warrants for two apartments there. Two preliminary investigations led her into the street: against a person on suspicion of forgery and commercial fraud. Against another person on suspicion of dangerous physical harm.
The operation, in which a total of 381 officials participated, was an escalation with an announcement: the rule of law against the autonomous scene.
