Ridwan Kamil explains Rs 1 trillion assistance to PWNU West Java

Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil received a complaint from the West Java PWNU regarding requests for assistance for Rp. 1 trillion more during his time as governor. Ridwan Kamil explained about the statement made at PWNU Mukerwil in Purwakarta.

“Yes, it’s just a matter of details, there are no more problems. So the facts are like this, just a detailed explanation. A person cannot tell without data, That’s right”, Ridwan Kamil said as reported detikjabarWednesday (28/12/2022).

Ridwan Kamil said Rp 1 trillion in assistance to NU was more than a form of his love for NU members or Nahdliyin. As governor, he guaranteed that he would be transparent with the use of West Java provincial government money.

“This is my love for the nahdliyin, that’s how much, that’s how great is my love for the nahdliyin. Just why it needs an explanation, remains to be explained. Second, a governor must be transparent. Because this is the money of the people returning to people,” he said.

The West Java PWNU had previously complained to Governor Ridwan Kamil regarding his statement regarding a budget of over IDR 1 trillion for assistance to NU elements in West Java. PWNU asked Ridwan Kamil clarify this statement.

“In an effort to rectify perceptions regarding this issue, we, the Regional Administrators of West Java Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU), call on the Governor to provide detailed explanations regarding the planned budget assistance so that it becomes clear and there are different interpretations in addressing the Governor’s statement at West Java PWNU’s MUKERWIL event in Purwakarta,” reads the snippet of West Java PWNU’s letter to Ridwan Kamil.
