Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil | was greeted with around 15 seconds of applause at the Pre-Employment Card Gathering in Sentul, Bogorwhich was also seen by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Friday (17/6).
The moment occurred when the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto gave a speech. He greeted Ridwan Kamil who was present at the event
“Dear ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, Mr. KSP are here, Mrs. Minister of Finance, Mrs. Minister of Manpower. We respect the leadership of Commission IX, the Governor of West Java, Mr. Ridwan Kamil and his staff,” said Airlangga.
At least eight thousand people present began to applaud Ridwan Kamil. Airlangga paused in his speech to invite the audience to applaud RK. It took about 15 seconds for this to happen.

During the applause, Riwdan Kamil stood up from his chair. He faced the audience and bowed as a symbol of gratitude.
Applause was only given by the participants to Ridwan Kamil. In fact, the same thing did not happen when Airlangga greeted Jokowi and the minister.
After that moment, Airlangga continued his speech. He reported the achievements of the Pre-Employment Card program to Jokowi.
Previously, Ridwan Kamil became public attention because his son, Emmeril Khan Mumtadz (Eril), died. Eril died after being swept away by the current of the Bern River, Switzerland.
The public is saddened by this incident. Residents of West Java took to the streets to welcome Eril’s funeral in his mother’s hometown in Cimaung, Bandung Regency, on May 26, 2022.
