Riders: Scouts and the media focus on successful youth work

The successful development work of the Schiefbahn Riders in matters of American football has meanwhile gotten around. Not only in the football scene is the project with more and more developing athletes more and more noticed, but also the media contribute to the Lower Rhine footballers that talents move into the focus of reporting.

Willich Schiefbahn – Riders President Tim Schürmanns confidently states: “We are making the football stars of tomorrow. Our youth work has already produced good players in the German Football League (GFL) and the European League of Football (ELF). This is a seal of quality for the youth organization led by Kjell Krenz.”

The praised youth leader has a lot to do these days. Not only do the seasons of the youth teams have to be coordinated, but also the promotion of talent and, in particular, a special trip is planned for his own son. Krenz explains: “My son Jari, who is our U10 quarterback, was the first one of our players to be invited to one of the largest and most renowned football and quarterback camps in the USA at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium. At the age of just 9, he is going on a big trip to the motherland of American football this summer. Some print media already reported interviews with Jari at the beginning of the week about his expectations and his big adventure.” Tim Schürmanns is happy about the results and says: “We want to continue to forge talent that is enormously important for the existence of our amateur club. Therefore, I expressly support the path of the youth leadership, which will continue to offer attractive trial training sessions in the future. You can find out more about this on our homepage at any time. We look forward to everyone who just wants to try the sport.” (opm)
