ride on the future rails of the T9 tram

The residents of the Saint-Jean district have been waiting for it for decades: the tram should finally arrive in 2026. The T9 tram line will connect Vaulx-en-Velin / La Soie to Charpennes thanks to about twenty stations out of nearly 11 km.

Until then, a consultation operation has been initiated by Sytral (the organizing authority for public transport in the Lyon metropolitan area) in order to identify the needs and requests of residents.

In this sense, a walk in the Saint-Jean district is organized this Saturday, October 9 to discuss with them on the service and the conditions for a good integration of the tram. Thematic stops will be offered to address the subjects submitted for consultation, and in particular the location of a future station north of Saint-Jean.

The walk is open to all, upon registration on the website destinations2026-sytral.fr. The departure will be at 10 am, in front of the Maison des services publics at 30, rue Saint-Jean.

The next meeting will take the form of a citizen consultation workshop on the Croix-Luizet, Buers and La Doua sector by videoconference, Thursday, October 14, from 7 to 9 p.m., upon registration.
