Ridderkerks Dagblad | Inspection: report for online cancer

The health inspectorate has filed a complaint against a commercial provider of online cancer and Alzheimer’s testing, iGene. A spokesperson for the inspection confirms a message from the TV program Radar about this. NPO 1 pays attention to this on Monday evening.

The company is violating the rules, according to the Healthcare and Youth Inspectorate (IGJ), because it does not have the necessary license.

According to the inspection, iGene violates the Population Screening Act by offering it. This law is currently being amended, so that the IGJ itself will also have more possibilities to supervise and enforce rules in similar cases. Now the inspectorate can only urge to apply for a permit and file a report if it does not happen.
