The number of confirmed corona infections has increased by 2713. Between Friday morning and Saturday, those positive tests were registered with the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). It is slightly less than on Friday, when the number of cases increased by 2,777. In the past seven days, nearly 17,000 people have tested positive for the coronavirus.
The number of deaths rose by 38 last 24 hours. That is the highest number of reports since 15 May. This included 21 deaths in IJsselland (Zwolle and the surrounding area). Seven patients died in Kampen, three in Raalte and three in Deventer.
The number of registered hospital admissions rose by 29 on Saturday. On Friday, the RIVM reported 36 hospital admissions and 16 deaths. This data sometimes arrives with a delay.
The municipality of Amsterdam counted 335 new infections, 197 positive tests were registered in The Hague and 164 residents in Rotterdam were told that they had become infected. in the Hollands Midden region, which includes Leiden and Gouda, the number of infections rose by 256.
