The Cleveland Cavaliers officially announced the return of Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio. The Cavaliers also confirmed two other signings: Brazilian point guard Raul Neto and American center of Latino origin Robin López.
“Our focus this summer has been on making this team better by finding the best talent to help strengthen this roster,” Cavaliers president of basketball operations Koby Altman said in a statement.
“When you think about the impact Ricky had on our team last season, his addition became a priority in bringing him back to Cleveland,” he added.
Rubio thus returns to the Cavaliers in which he shone last year until a serious knee injury took him off the track and led him to be transferred to the Indiana Pacers in an operation that made more sense financially than sportswise for both franchises.
