Ricky Martin Opens Up About Divorce from Jwan Yosef: Pre-Pandemic Decision

In July, it became known that artist Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef were to divorce after almost six years of marriage. They stated this themselves in a joint statement People.

Now reveals the “Livin’ la vida Loca” artist in an interview with Telemundos that the separation from Yosef started even before the pandemic, writes ET Online.

– Jwan and I will always be family. We have two children that we will raise together and this is not a recent decision. We have planned this situation for a long time, it is pre-pandemic, says Martin.

In addition to two children together, for whom they have joint care, Martin has twins from before.

– Our biggest wish now is to be able to continue to have a healthy family dynamic and a relationship where peace and friendship are at the center, the former couple told People in July when they announced their divorce.

The Puerto Rican pop star married Syrian-born artist Yosef in 2018. Yosef was born in Syria but grew up in Sweden.

The “Livin’ La Vida Loca” singer and Yosef met over Instagram in 2015, and the following year came forward as lovers.
