The “Livin’ la vida Loca” artist and partner state in a joint statement that they are parting “with love, respect and dignity”.
The artist Ricky Martin (51) and his husband Jwan Yosef (38) have been married since 2018. The couple have two children together, in addition to two children Puerto Rican Martin had from before. Yosef was born in Syria, but grew up in Sweden.
“We have decided to end our marriage with love, respect and dignity – for our children and to honor everything we have experienced as a couple over these wonderful years,” they write in a announcement to People magazinereproduced by VG.
The pair met over Instagram in 2015 and came forward as a couple a year later.
They say in the statement that they will continue to have shared care for the children.
