Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef are divorcing after six years of marriage. “We have decided to end our marriage with love, respect and dignity,” the Puerto Rican singer and his former husband said in a joint statement.
The two write People that they had wonderful years. “It is our intention to remain friends and to continue to raise both our children. Where the respect and love for each other are the most important.”
Martin and Yosef have two children together, Lucia (4) and Renn (3). Martin previously had twins through a surrogate mother.
The 51-year-old singer, known for his hit Livin’ La Vida Loca, and the 38-year-old artist were together since 2016. They married a year later.
