British journalist Richard Lewis released a video about OverDrive insider Alexei Biryukov. It was published on YouTube.
IN video Lewis briefly told the story of how OverDrive was trying to break into the professional scene and paid top eSports players to travel with him to LAN tournaments in the same lineup. He also drew attention to how some of his information was criticized by the people involved in the rumors themselves. For example, this happened in the situation with Nikola NiKo Kovacs and, allegedly, his desire to play in a team only with Balkans.
In addition, Lewis considered the way OverDrive obtained information to be unethical. The Briton noted that Biryukov himself writes to familiar players to find out about transfers. Lewis called this approach “cringe” and said that he himself would never ask the players. For this, he has more serious sources, since he knows very important people from the industry.
OverDrive did not go into detail about each of Lewis’s points. He simply stated that it was all a lie.
Earlier, there was a conflict online between OverDrive and Alexander s1mple Kostylev. Biryukov noted that the e-sportsman was very lucky to reveal his talent in the game, but in life he is “vile and toxic.” In response to this, the sniper reminded Biryukov of an episode from one of the LAN tournaments, when OverDrive allegedly wanted to bribe an opponent so that he would let the insider’s team pass further.
