Richard Gasquet’s long career is set to end next year after the French Open. He explained this in the French newspaper “L’Equipe”.
The Frenchman with his unique technique may have left his mark on Swiss tennis fans. In 2006 he won the ATP tournament in Gstaad. He was also with Roger Federer a total of 21 times. He won 16 titles, the first in 2005 in Nottingham. and the last in 2023 in Auckland. In addition, he remains the youngest player to win a match on the tour when he defeated Argentina’s Franco Squillari in Monte Carlo in 2002 at the age of 15.
