Businessman Richard Branson was injured in an accident. The owner of Virgin Group, which includes Virgin Galaxy, shared photos on social media and said that he suffered a serious fall after a bicycle accident. The incident happened during a charity race in the British Virgin Islands.
The 71-year-old British businessman collided with another cyclist and fell off his bicycle. Branson’s wounds were so severe that he even thought he had a fractured back. In the end, the businessman missed only a few stitches and abrasions, a bruise and a huge hematoma on his leg, Nova TV reports.
“My brakes failed. I pressed them, but they didn’t work. There is no doubt that my helmet saved me. I had several options – to fall off a cliff, crash into a car or hit my friend who was moving in front of me. I shouted at him loudly that my brakes were failing. But there was nothing we could do. “I was moving very fast and we collided seriously,” said Branson.
