Ricchi e Poveri Return to Sanremo 2024 with Historic Reunion and New Song by Renowned Composer Edwin Roberts

So the Ricchi e Poveri return to the competition in Sanremo 2024 after having participated as super guests in the 2020 edition in the original four-man lineup. A historic reunion which also saw Marina Occhiena return to the lineup. Today the Ricchi e Poveri are composed of Angela Brambati and Angelo Sotgiu; Franco Gatti passed away on 18 October 2022. Lately, the historic Italian pop music group, especially as a duo, has been noticed on Italian talent TV: despite the many guest appearances and the many specials on their career, their roles should be remembered by judges or competitors. In the three-piece formation they won the Festival in 1985 with Se m’innamoro. Returning to current events, this is how they described their Sanremo song: “This song – which is entitled But not all life (by E. Roberts, S. Marletta and Cheope) – it was written with us in mind: it’s beautiful!”… Therefore, among the authors of the (beautiful and danceable) festival song of the mystics ‘Ricchi e Poveri’, there is also the musician and singer-songwriter from Cremona, of Argentine origins on the part of his parents, but born in Cremona on 26 November 1992: Edwin Roberts, former competitor of Amici, today an appreciated composer, co-author in this festival round of the pieces by Dargen D’Amico (Onda alta), Il Volo (Capolavoro) and, indeed, of the long-awaited ballad by Ricchi e Poveri. Here, during the pre-listening of the entire Sanremo cast, reserved for journalists, both D’Amico and Ricchi e Poveri, well, they amazed with their songs, a bit Cremonese.
