Riau’s Regional Secretary Shares How to Travel Affordably: Opt for Economy Class Promos and Apartment Stays Instead of Luxury Holidays Abroad, Despite Posting Photos of His Wife’s Travels – Kompas.com

KOMPAS.com – Regional Secretary of the Riau Provincial Government, SF Hariyanto, provided clarification regarding his wife’s viral photos and videos on social media.

Previously, the Twitter account @Partai Socmed uploaded photos and videos showing Hariyanto’s wife traveling abroad using luxury bags such as Hermas and Gucci.

Hariyanto explained that regarding his wife’s trip abroad, in his opinion, it did not symbolize the excitement that was stirred up before.

He said, the cost of holidays abroad is not too big. In addition, all costs come from joint ventures with his wife’s friends.

“That is for holidays abroad, approximately IDR 14 million for seven days. Economy class and choose promo tickets. That’s all they stay in ordinary apartments to save costs and some even use public transportation. So it’s not as luxurious as what was stated in the information,” said Hariyanto, quoted from the riau.go.id website, Sunday (19/3/2023).

Likewise with the reported eating at expensive restaurants, Hariyanto’s wife and her friends only took time to take pictures there.

Because one of Hariyanto’s friends wanted to buy ice cream, french fries, and a burger with a total price of around IDR 350,000 and didn’t do anything else.

Meanwhile, for one of the luxury bags used by his wife, Hariyanto admitted that it was a KW item, aka an imitation, purchased at a thrift shop in Mangga Dua, Jakarta.

Previously it was reported, circulating on social media a number of photos showing the hedonistic style of the wife of the Secretary of the Riau Provincial Government SF Hariyanto.
