Bentan.co.id – The Riau Islands Provincial Health Office appealed to the public to start being alert to Dengue Fever (DHF). This condition follows the entry of the rainy season in all regions in the Riau Islands Province.

“At this time, the community must also be aware of the dengue disease, because the rainy season has entered and the breeding time of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito as a carrier of this dengue disease,” explained the Head of the Riau Islands Provincial Health Office, Muhd ​​Bisri.

According to Bisri, although until now from the data he received, there has been no increase in the number of dengue cases, he still appealed to the public to be aware of this disease.

“But we must be vigilant, if the fever lasts for more than three days, it must be immediately taken to a health facility, both a health center and a hospital, to get the right treatment,” he said.

Bisri also conveyed to the Riau Islands community to be able to regularly clean their living environment during the rainy season like this.

“So that there is no container for the development of this mosquito breeding,” explained Bisri

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is transmitted through the bite of an Aedes mosquito infected with the dengue virus. If not treated properly, patients are at risk for complications of DHF which can be fatal. Prevention of dengue is important to do so that you avoid these risks.

The campaign to drain, close, and bury (3M) promoted by the government is not just a slogan, the community should also implement the appeal to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes.
