The number of cases of the Corona COVID-19 virus increased by 25,054 cases on Monday (28/2/2022), bringing the total to 5,564,448. Recovered patients increased by 43,992, died 262.
Earlier on Sunday (27/2/2022), a total of 5,539,394 positive cases of the Corona COVID-19 virus were recorded. The total recovered were 4,817,423 cases and 148,073 cases died.
Details of the development of the corona in Indonesia today as follows:
- New cases increase by 25,054, total cases to 5,564,448
- Recovered cases increased by 43,992, total recovered to 4,861,415
- Death cases increased by 262, total death to 148,335
Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin said the government was developing a strategy to prepare protocols for the COVID-19 pandemic to become endemic. This study will be considered through various approaches.
“We also received direction from the President (Joko Widodo) on the input of the coordinating minister regarding the strategy from pandemic to endemic. We have prepared the protocol,” said Minister of Health Budi in a virtual press conference, Sunday (27/2/2022).
Although the protocol has been prepared, Minister of Health Budi said his party would not rush to change the status of the pandemic to endemic. Decisions will be carefully considered by taking into account various approaches from the scientific, health, social, cultural and economic aspects.
“The President’s directives are to be applied carefully. Health considerations are used in a balanced way with socio-cultural and economic considerations,” he added.
