Sub-prefect to the Prefect of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, in charge of Rhône-sud since August 2020, Benoît Rochas came to meet the mayor of Yzeron Agnès Nelias. This visit made it possible to present the municipality and the development axes of the new municipal team. But also to expose the major projects which would need financial support from the State.
“The purpose of my visit is to gain a better understanding of the territory and, in particular, of local needs within the framework of the government stimulus plan for energy renovation projects. The idea is to support small municipalities in their access to state aid, particularly the newly elected teams. Responsible for the district of Lyon outside the Metropolis, I am in charge of a particularly dense territory. Here, the extension of the boiler-wood network and the creation of the sports platform are priorities that I have clearly pointed out. In addition, I find the town extremely attractive in terms of leisure and change of scenery so close to Lyon, which explains the enthusiasm of the Lyonnais for their weekend outing. It was my first visit to Yzeron, but I will be back soon for family outings, ”detailed the sub-prefect.
