It is precisely these expenses that Gaélis, Group of associations and elected independent and united students of Lyon, intends to quantify this Monday, by publishing its indicator of the cost of back to school.
The association, which brings together about 60 student structures, has been lending itself to the exercise since 2012 and the finding “is alarming” according to Coline Pisaneschi, its president. “For several years, the cost of the return to school has risen sharply, which only deepens the precariousness of the already fragile student population,” she said, believing that studying in one of the largest student cities of the country tends to “become a luxury”.
