The Rhône prefecture has put an end to the illegal occupation of 15 apartments located in the Terraillon Nord condominium, an action that follows court decisions. The prefecture specifies that this evacuation also allowed the National Police to put an end to the activity of a clandestine bar, sheltering several traffics in the common parts of this co-ownership dedicated to destruction.
It also notes that this operation took place calmly this morning, following partnership work which made it possible to prepare, under the coordination of the Rhône Prefecture, the action of the State services (Departmental Directorate employment, labor and solidarity and national police), local authorities and the developer. Solutions were proposed to households according to individual situations and vulnerabilities.
Terraillon is the subject of an urban renewal project carried out by the Metropolis of Lyon and the City of Bron. The development of the district via a ZAC set up in 2014 provides for the demolition of nearly 430 housing units and the construction of 508 housing units with a diversified offer.
