A nurseryman has just launched a “SPA” for plants in Lyon (Rhône). Nicolas Talliu, 33, opened the first “plant protection society” on Monday, March 1. Its goal: to recover diseased or poorly maintained plants and then take care of them so that they regain their original state, reports 20 Minutes.
“Or, we start with a care service and give the plant back to its owner, once it has come back to life. Either people want to get rid of it and leave it here ”, explains Nicolas Talliu, a graduate in landscape architecture. In the latter case, the plants are pampered and then put back on sale.
Local products
The nurseryman, who also offers to keep plants during the owners’ holidays, intends to fight against waste and raise awareness. He knows that buying plants has been fashionable for a few years. “It’s really great, but few people know that the plants bought have sometimes gone around the planet twice before being sold in France”, recalls the professional.
In his nursery, he ensures that everything is local: the fertilizer, the compost or the soil. And the thirty-something pleads for the short circuit: “The goal is to show visitors that they can then do the same thing without generating a huge carbon footprint”.
