Rhoma Irama Still Holds Concert in Bogor, Regent Yasin Threatens to Take Decisive Action

Merdeka.com – Bogor Regent Ade Yasin said he was disappointed because Rhoma Irama’s swordsman broke their promise by continuing to hold a concert at a circumcision event located in Cibunian Village, Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency, West Java, Sunday (28/6).

“The task force will take firm steps, for fear that this will set a bad precedent for other communities,” Ade Yasin said when contacted in Bogor.

According to him, it is clearly stipulated in the Regent’s Regulation (Perbup) No. 35 of 2020 which regulates various scopes, namely the level of regional vigilance, the determination of proportional large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) partially according to regional vigilance, and health protocols in the context of adapting new habits (IMR).

In addition, Pamijahan is one of 29 sub-districts in Bogor Regency which is now in the red zone status. GTPPC Bogor District noted that there were one Covid-19 patient and 12 supervised patients (PDP) who were active in the area.

He also even sent a joint officer to deliver a warning letter to a Cibunian Village resident named Surya Atmaja, as the party who invited Rhoma Irama to hold a concert in his son’s circumcision event.

Previously, Rhoma Irama had announced the cancellation of the concert through a short video spread on social media. The artist, nicknamed Raja Dangdut, explained that the invitation to the circumcision event took place two months ago, with the hope that on the day of implementation, June 28, 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic would be over.

“Because the Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing and there is a ban or denial of crowd permits, we and the host will postpone or reschedule for a gig in the village,” Rhoma said.

He even asked his fans to be patient and respect the proportional PSBB rules, especially in Bogor Regency.

“God willing, if there is no pandemic and permits, we will be invited back. Let us all respect and implement the government’s recommendation that we should not create or attend the crowd at the time of the Covid-19 outbreak so that it would not continue to spread,” he said. Quoted Between. [gil]
