“On Monday, we signed the purchase agreement for ninety percent. We have an important financial partner, OneCap, where, in addition to Jaroslav Havel, there are also Kateřina Zychová and Jan Mynář. If the group meets all the requirements and goals, we are willing to transfer ownership to them in the future. We are open to cooperation with other partners as well,” said Chodák at Tuesday’s press conference.
Billionaire Igor Fait from the Jet Investment group is also interested in joining the club. “We are open to cooperation, we met on Monday and he had an all or nothing attitude. We can’t change it now that we’ve already promised something,” Chodák said.
The regional chamber of commerce decided to buy the club within five days. “On Saturday, August 24, we received a message in our inbox asking if we would exercise the right of pre-emption on Zbrojovka. We met on Monday and we realistically had five days to buy it,” described RHK Brno director Čeněk Absolon. “We are here to help companies succeed and Zbrojovka is now very unsuccessful. We didn’t want everything to go Brno’s way, because against it we’re fighting. But it’s not like Zbrojovka is being taken over by a Prague company, for example, Mr. Havel lives in Žebětín,” Chodák insisted.
According to the representatives of RHK Brno, there will be changes in the club already at the general meeting next week, and the staff will not be changed until the winter transfer period. “We missed the transfer deadline on September 8, so we couldn’t buy the player. Even if we could now, it wouldn’t be the case that we’d be shopping headlong. We probably won’t advance to the first league this season, but next year it will be an obligation,” cheered Chodák.
The new owners would like to get Zbrojovka into European cups by 2029. “In 2026, we want to advance to the first league, then we will stabilize the club in the highest competition, and in 2029 we want to advance to the European cups,” said the head of RHK Brno.

The first visible change is the end of the sports director of the club, Psotky, who had been at the club since last July, he resigned himself, if he had not left, the new owners would probably have dismissed him. “When we buy a company that is not doing very well, we change the top management,” said Chodák.
After eleven years, Bartoněk retires from Brno football, who also receives a commission for the transfer of Ladislav Krejčí to Girona. “He borrowed money that roughly corresponds to the amount for Krejčí. The club will return them to Mr. Bartoňk,” informed Chodák.
