After the city’s cultural office had resumed gaming in the Bürgersaal in September with a very carefully worked out hygiene concept, it had to “shut down” all activities again – like all other cultural institutions – as part of the renewed partial lockdown. Since then, the cultural office has been busy rescheduling the “canceled events”.

“Our goal is to postpone the appearances of the booked artists until the coming year,” explains the head of the cultural office, Henrike Fuder, who is in contact with the various artist agencies almost every day. Not an easy task, as the artists are often booked years in advance and the tour schedule for 2021 is actually already “full”. What is certain is that the cabaret originally planned for December 3 in the Bürgersaal “Junge, Junge” can be postponed to November 20, 2021.

Due to the ongoing rescheduling, the launch of the popular cabaret subscription will also be delayed somewhat. The cultural office assumes that it will be ready by mid-December at the latest. As in the past, the subscription – nine events from February to December – will be available at a special price in the first few weeks. “A nice Christmas present,” explains Henrike Fuder with a wink. The cultural office will inform you about the details in good time.

Everyone involved is also looking for solutions for the “failures” in the exhibition area. No reliable statements can be made at this point in time for all events after December 20th – this is the period covered by the state’s current ordinance. “We just have to wait and see,” said Fuder.
